ArtTLV
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL
SEPTEMBER 24–OCTOBER 18, 2008
OPENING CELEBRATIONS:
SEPTEMBER 24–26, 2008
Art TLV launches the first citywide international contemporary art event as Tel Aviv approaches its 100th Anniversary. The project, curated by Andrew Renton (Director of Curating at Goldsmiths, University of London) brings together international and Israeli artists and curators with Tel Aviv’s bourgeoning contemporary art scene, Bauhaus architecture, and cosmopolitan culture.
Art TLV is a unique opportunity for artists, curators, gallerists, collectors, journalists, and art enthusiasts to explore Tel Aviv’s cultural scene. This is the first of a series of projects that will be expanded in September 2009 to create a tri-city art event with the Istanbul and Athens Biennials.
